1997 Kawasaki Ninja 250cc
Perfect bike to get your license on and learn to ride without the worry or expense of a new bike.
I bought this bike for some fun customizing it and turning it into a bit of a cafe racer⁄street fighter build. Now, I'm moving to Melbourne, and it's going to be too much of a pain to take with me!
Bike also has had:
New front tyre
New front brake pads
Bike runs and rides fine and all electrics work, however, it's currently got the ferring off as someone before me, put too long of a bolt in a blind thread, over tightened it and put a small hole in the tank.
So, in order to get this bike up to scratch, I'd reccomend:
Getting the hole in the tank welded
Cleaning out the carby (been sitting for a bit)
New sprocket and chain
Covering the rip in the seat
I've also got a single front light to conver the bike to a naked bike.
So, you could either put it all back together and have a cheap bike, fix it and have a better bike, or take the minimal steps required to make it one of the toughest 250s around! It's all up to you now.
